Public Safety Cadets Unit

The Raleigh Police Department Public Safety Cadets Unit gives young men and women hands-on experience and exposure to the criminal justice field.  

Public Safety Cadets have the opportunity to see and train with police officers in a scaled down version of actual law enforcement academy training.  Along the way, cadets will learn to have fun, face challenges, and discover whether a law enforcement career is right for them.  Cadets will also participate in social activities like community events and parades.  There are team building activities, light fitness exercises, information on proper nutrition, educational field trips, and competitions.
