Minions Hay Bale Statues

Keep an Eye Out!

Creative creations can be found by the Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility and Neuse River Greenway Trail.

Just when you thought hay was only for cows and making you sneeze, the creative staff at the Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility have turned hay bales into art. These statues can be found at the entrance of the facility and along the Neuse River Greenway Trail. Greenway users should keep an eye out for Olaf, the Minions, and a bumblebee as they make their way on the trail.

Lisa Joseph, Resource Recovery Manager, said "We wanted to do it to give staff, contractors, and visitors something to smile about and enjoy as they enter the facility. We decided to expand the idea and place some smaller hay bale art at different locations along the greenway for the public to enjoy."

These hay bale statues can be found along the greenway trail between Knightdale Road and Mial Plantation Road, as well as Old Baucom Road.

Thanks to all the Resource Recovery staff, Bryceson Futch, Angelio Hartsfield, Travis Brice, Leon Gibbs, Eric Batchelor, Chris Sauls, Lisa Joseph, and Marla Dalton, who took the time to brighten the day of trail travelers and give us something to smile about!
