Ride Raleigh: Dockless Demo Day at Dix Park

Curious about Raleigh’s new dockless bikeshare? Here’s your chance to try it out for yourself!

Raleigh Transportation is hosting Ride Raleigh: Dockless Demo Day on Monday, August 25, from 5–8 PM at Dix Park (near Gipson Play Plaza). This free event is your opportunity to hop on an e-bike, meet the vendors behind Raleigh’s new bikeshare program, and get comfortable with the bikes you’ll be seeing around town.

What To Expect

Ladies on Spin e-bikes
  • Hands-on riding: Test out both Lime and Spin e-bikes in a relaxed, supportive environment. Even if you’ve never used an e-bike with a throttle before, this is a great way to learn the basics and build confidence.
  • Meet the experts: Representatives from Lime and Spin will be on-site to walk you through how their bikes work, explain different rider pass options, help you set up your account, and answer your questions about rules of the road.
  • Free giveaways: Both vendors will have fun swag to share — come early to snag some goodies!
  • Community connections: Our partners from GoRaleigh Transit and Commute Smart Raleigh will also be there to answer questions and highlight how e-bikes fit into Raleigh’s bigger transportation network.

Why You Should Attend

This isn’t a “learn to ride a bike” class, but it’s the perfect low-pressure way to try out e-bikes for the first time — or just get familiar with Lime and Spin before you rent one on your own. You’ll leave ready to ride with confidence.

Plus, you can make a full evening of it! Ride Raleigh happens right next to Gipson Play Plaza, and you’ll also find Yoga in the Park going on nearby.

So grab a friend, stop by Dix Park, and get ready to roll into Raleigh’s new era of micromobility!
