The City of Raleigh's Building Up-fit Grant encourages growth and development by assisting property owners and businesses with improvements, renovations, and/or additions to the interior of their commercial property.

Companies locating within an adopted Priority Areas for Economic Development will be eligible for enhanced terms and amounts.

The Building Up-fit Grant is available to property and/or business owners to make qualified improvements to the interior of commercial property.

How do I apply for a Building Up-fit Grant?

Businesses or commercial property owners must complete the Building Up-fit Grant pre-application to determine eligibility.

Economic Development and Innovation staff members will provide an application via email if a pre-applicant is determined to be eligible to apply for the Building Up-fit Grant. Staff will notify pre-applicants if they are ineligible to apply.

Applications are accepted only during the quarterly grant cycles listed below.
