Learn more about Raleigh’s Digital Assistant Pilot
Updated: May 22, 2026
The City of Raleigh is testing the use of an AI avatar named Daisy. Daisy will answer customer service questions related to Raleigh Parks. As part of this test, we are collecting resident feedback over the next three months to see:
Daisy’s kiosk will be located in the lobby of the Barwell Road Community Center.
In Raleigh, community centers are the heartbeat of our neighborhoods. We want a customer service solution that works for everyone. Piloting this new technology at a community center allows people of different ages, backgrounds and lived experiences to test it and share their feedback.
Daisy answers questions about Raleigh Parks locations, programs, opening hours, and more. It draws information from RaleighNC.gov, the May-August 2026 Leisure Ledger, and the Parks Annual Report.
Since this is a pilot, Daisy does not currently have access to any information that requires a login to see, like RecTrac. It cannot help you pay bills or sign up for programs. It may refer you to another department if it cannot find the information you are looking for.
When we launch the pilot in May, Daisy will be able to speak English and Spanish fluently. Over the next three months, we will teach her at least four more languages: French, Arabic, Mandarin, and Swahili.
