Stay Informed and Connected

  • Report suspicious activity to 919-831-6311 (non-emergency line) or leave a tip with Raleigh Crime Stoppers.

We all play a role in keeping downtown safe and welcoming. Thank you for doing your part.

What You Can Do!

  • Secure Loose Items: Unsecured items can be used to cause damage or be stolen. Please bring inside or secure:
    • Sidewalk signs;
    • Patio furniture; and,
    • Trash cans or planters.
  • Secure Entry Points:
    • Make sure all doors and windows are locked.
    • Turn on lights and security systems/cameras.

Support Systems

The Raleigh Police Department provides various services to residents and business owners in the Downtown District. One of these services is the ACORNS Unit.

Business owners are also encouraged to learn more about the ConnectRaleigh program. This program enables residents and business owners in the Downtown corridor to connect their cameras to a system that assists the police department in responding to crimes more effectively.
