The City of Raleigh has set up three ways for residents and community members to give input on the next chief of police.
A survey is now open on the qualifications and experience the community would like to see in the new chief. Participants can also suggest questions for the interview process. The deadline to respond is Saturday, Feb. 22.
Comments can also be submitted by leaving a message at 855-925-2801, box 11128. There is a three-minute limit on messages. You may suggest a question for the selection process in your message.
On Feb. 24, the public will have an opportunity to meet the final candidates at Fletcher Opera Theater at the Martin Marietta Center for Performing Arts. The discussion will be moderated. Please submit questions using the survey linked above.
Applications for the position close Feb. 14. The input received will be included in the review process to select the final candidates.
