The Raleigh Police Department is moving its headquarters to Hargett Street in downtown Raleigh. Centralizing department leadership in the heart of downtown will improve coordination, streamline operations, and enhance collaboration among command staff.
RPD’s Downtown and Hospitality District relocated to 111 W. Hargett Street (from 218 Cabarrus St.). As part of this transition, the department's headquarters, including the Chief's Office, is moving to the same location. (Headquarters used to be at 6716 Six Forks Road.)
ACORNS Unit Relocated
Additionally, RPD’s ACORNS Unit has relocated to the North District at 6716 Six Forks Road (from 111 N. Boylan Ave.). This move will better align resources and support continued collaboration across the department.
These changes reflect the Raleigh Police Department's ongoing commitment to improving efficiency, fostering collaboration, and providing the highest level of service to the residents and visitors of Raleigh.
