Raleigh Police Conducts DWI Patrol Ahead of Holiday Season

Over the weekend, the Raleigh Police Department, working in partnership with multiple Wake County agencies and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, conducted a coordinated DWI saturation patrol along the New Bern Avenue corridor.

The operation resulted in the following enforcement actions:

20 DWI arrests
106 traffic stops
142 charges filed
12 warrants served
2 vehicles seized
1 firearm seized

With the holiday season quickly approaching, the Raleigh Police Department remains committed to ensuring that everyone in our community can enjoy this time safely. Targeted enforcement initiatives such as this are a critical component of keeping our roads and neighborhoods safe.
