The Raleigh Police Department invites members of the media and community to join us as we observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, at 10 a.m. The event will take place at 5240 Greens Dairy Road, with a rain location at 4205 Spring Forest Road.
This year’s theme, “I’m Still Here and Empowered,” honors survivors and raises awareness about the impact of domestic violence on individuals, families, and our community. Attendees will hear powerful testimonies from survivors and advocates, as well as remarks from RPD leadership and community partners who are committed to supporting victims and preventing domestic violence.
Participants are encouraged to wear purple, the official color of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, to show solidarity and support for those affected.
