Be Part of the Portrait Campaign

As we begin shaping the next chapter of our city’s future, we’re launching Reflecting Raleigh, a portrait campaign spotlighting the people who live, work, and play here. This campaign is part of the outreach for the next update to Raleigh’s Comprehensive Plan, a long-term vision for how our city will grow and evolve in the decades to come.

Our current plan looks ahead to 2030, but it’s time to start thinking even further. That’s where you come in. We’re looking for residents, workers, students, business owners, artists, parents, volunteers—anyone who considers Raleigh home—to take part. Participants will be featured in a series of social media portraits celebrating the people behind our city's progress and hope for the future.

During a brief, informal photo session, we’ll ask a few questions like:

  • What do you love most about Raleigh?
  • How would you describe the city today?
  • What's your vision for Raleigh 20-30 years from now?
  • Are you involved with any community organizations?

Whether you’ve lived here for decades or just arrived, your perspective helps shape what comes next.
