Raleigh Planning Academy

Planning and Development staff engage with participants of a Raleigh Planning Academy.

Dive Into City Planning with the Planning Academy

The Raleigh Planning Academy is for anyone who cares about their community! Whether you've been involved in your neighborhood for years or you're a new resident – if you want to make a difference in your community, the Planning Academy is for you. It offers residents a greater understanding of the role planning plays in building communities. It also educates them about how and when residents can be involved in planning processes.

We aim to empower residents on the best ways to navigate the complex world of land development and community planning. Participants will learn best practices for engaging with staff and their neighbors on rezoning and large-scale projects in their neighborhoods.
