How to Apply

A Certificate of Occupancy (CO) is issued when a building has passed all inspections and is ready for use. A new building cannot be legally occupied until a CO has been issued.

A CO is issued same day for a new building, addition, change or use and interior completion.  A Certificate of Completion (CC) is issued by the next day for alterations/repairs. You can view your CO or CC via the permit portal from the building permit, within the attachment tab.

A partial or temporary CO may be issued when a building is safe to occupy temporarily while remaining issues are resolved and approved. A temporary Certificate of Occupancy expires 30 days after issuance.

How to Apply

All TCO/PCO inspections should be scheduled via the trade inspector for Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire.
