Special Event Permits Are Now Accessible Online

Status updates are now available in real-time.

The City recently launched Eproval, an online platform for special event permits. Special event permits are needed when an event uses part of the public right-of-way. This includes festivals, performances, road races, parades, charity walks, and similar events.

The new platform allows event organizers to apply for and receive their applications online. Status updates are available in real-time. It also encourages collaboration and information sharing. “Good communication is a key ingredient for having a safe and fun event. With Eproval, information is easily accessible. The process will be much more efficient,” said Sarah Heinsohn of the Special Events Office.

The City is committed to using technology like Eproval to improve service delivery. For more information, visit RaleighNC.gov and search “special event requests.”
