Quadball Extravaganza!
Inspired by the sport of quidditch, Quadball, combines physical activity with fun! Participants will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game, communication, and the importance of teambuilding from NCSU and UNC’s most experienced players. Participants will have the chance to make their own brooms and run through interactive drills. We will finish out the day putting our newfound skills to use playing a match. T-shirt, broom, and small snack are included in registration fee. Don't forget your water!

Pawsitively Imperfect Pet Portraits
Looking for the perfect gift for the person that has everything, well look no further! Parks and Recreation staff will put pen to paper and draw portraits of your lovable pets. At registration, you will upload a picture of your pet, and then our staff, some very talented, some not so much, will create an 8x10 masterpiece for you to pick up at Halifax Community Center the week of December 9-14. Your guess is as good as ours on how the portraits will turn out, but we can guarantee they will be on quality paper using quality art supplies. The deadline to register and submit a photo for artwork is December 1. Cost $5 per portrait and all proceeds go to the Play it Forward Raleigh Financial Assistance Program.

May the 4th Galactic Glow in the Dark Dodgeball Tournament
Whether you are a member of the dark side, or a rebel scum, let’s join forces to unite in a fun-filled day of glow-in-the-dark dodgeball benefitting Raleigh’s Parks and Recreation’s financial assistance program. Activities include food trucks, music, games, crafts, and costumes! Grab your favorite droids and Wookies and register today! Cost $160/team (5-8 players); $25 for individuals. The price includes a Glow-in-the-dark shirt! Ages 18+ to play.

Camp Carefree
Turn your staycation into a playcation with Raleigh Parks and Recreation! Whether this is your first camp experience, or you want to relive your youth, come escape the daily grind and have fun making new friendships with us. From creating tie-dye t-shirts, fishing, and kayaking at the lake, to participating in a kickball tournament and cheering your team on at tug-of-war, we have something for everyone! You can register for the day or sign up for the entire week. All proceeds support the Play it Forward Financial Assistance program that helps families and individuals play for a lifetime.

Holly Jolly Raleigh Winter Prom
It might be hot outside, but you are in for a cool night at the Holly Jolly Raleigh Christmas in July Winter Prom. Adults 21+ get glitzed up and rock around our Christmas trees to the sounds of our DJ. A mixologist will also be present to create delicious seasonally-themed mocktails. Enter for a chance to be on the Winter Court, and you just might become our Winter King or Queen! This party is going to sleigh!
So, bring your special someone, come by your elf, or round up your reindeer friends and come as a group! By registering for this program, you are supporting the Play it Forward Financial Assistance Program which helps individuals and families play for a lifetime.

Throw it Forward Disc Golf Tournament
It is back and better than ever at Forest Ridge Park! This unsanctioned, flex start tournament highlights the park’s 18-hole disc golf course. The tournament will include both recreational and advanced player divisions. Player packs for each player and prizes for each division will be awarded for the top three players! The registration fee is $25 per player.
