Raleigh Parks Pump Track

This above-ground track provides opportunities for wheeled recreators to develop or hone their bike, scooter or skating skills. 

With a combination of rollers and banked turns, this feature is great for everyone from beginners to seasoned shredders.

By design, the track can be moved to various parks through the Raleigh Parks System to provide opportunities throughout our community.

  • Next stop: Gipson Play Plaza, Dix Park (Spring 2026)

Track Safety and Etiquette

“Go with the Flow”

  1. Lower your seat and ride with level pedals.
  2. On the up slope, shift your body weight forward.
  3. On the down slope, shift your body weight downward.
  4. Keep your eyes scanning ahead. 

Five Before You Ride

Check your bike for these five elements before riding. 

  1.  Air
  2. Brakes
  3. Chain
  4. Connections
  5. Handlebars 

Are you ready to check out the track?

  • I am wearing my helmet and other protective gear
  • My bike or scooter is in good working order
  • I know my abilities and how hard to push myself
  • I will be courteous to other users
  • I have checked the track and am ready to ride 

Use of the pump track poses inherent risks; use at your own risk. Wheeled users take priority.  Supervision is recommended for young children. All Raleigh Parks rules and policies apply.  Report any track or use issues to the park site staff.
