Climbing Boulder Shelters Courts Playground

Year 1937 | Acres 3.5

Formerly known as Gardner Street Neighborhood Park. It was renamed to honor Raleigh's first female mayor, Isabella Cannon, who died at the age of 97 on February 13, 2002. This park has the first climbing boulder in the Raleigh Parks System.

Climbing Boulder

A large boulder used for climbing, with different sides for different difficulty levels
  • The boulder is 8' × 12' × 8'
  • Various levels of climbing challenge for kids, teens, and adults
  • Easy climbing on one side for older kids
  • Overhang on other side creating bouldering challenge
