Wilderness Skills Series

Forest Ridge Park

If you're lost in the woods, you will need some skills to get back to civilization. Let the experienced instructors at Forest Ridge Park be your guide!

This monthly wilderness series will introduce you to the 10 essentials and staying found, basic knife skills, fire building and cooking, and tying knots. All materials are provided.

For the knife skills lesson (Oct. 8), bring your own folding knife with up to a 4" blade. If you do not have one, a knife will be provided. For each session, dress for the weather conditions as scenarios may take place outside. Let your instructor know of any dietary restrictions.
