The video "Why Parks Matter" captures unscripted responses from kids enjoying Raleigh’s many parks. Highlights include a child enthusiastically describing how they found a caterpillar and another who credits tennis camps for boosting their confidence and skills. For many of these children, parks are a place to get active, connect with others, and feel happy.
“It helps me enjoy nature,” one child says, while another adds, “If I don’t come to the parks, I would just be laying at home.”
