The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department’s Marketing Team has received the Award of Excellence from the City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) for its Sights and Sounds of Raleigh Parks video series.
The award recognizes outstanding local government communications that inform, engage, and inspire communities. The Sights and Sounds series highlights the beauty, activity, and sense of well-being found in Raleigh’s parks through short, visually compelling videos.
Judges praised the campaign for its clarity and emotional impact:
Wow, well done, Raleigh! … This campaign excels at focusing on why parks are important for community wellbeing… Not only does it highlight activities like kayaking, basketball, observing nature, and spending family time together, it also demonstrates that wellbeing in the way these were shot—creating peaceful moments, sounds, and visuals. I can definitely see these shorts being very versatile and effective long-term.
The Sights and Sounds series has been featured across City of Raleigh social media channels and showcases how parks provide spaces for connection, relaxation, and recreation for all residents.
The 3CMA Savvy Awards celebrate the best in city and county communication, marketing, and engagement efforts nationwide.
