Looking for a fresh, engaging way to connect, collaborate, and get outside?

Private outdoor adventure programs open in May, offering customizable, hands-on experiences for all ages, from families and scouts to adult and professional groups.

Perfect for birthdays, homeschool days, badge work, or team-building, each program fosters discovery, confidence, and connection. Led by experienced instructors, experiences are flexible, scalable, and can be added to facility rentals. Group discounts (10+) may apply.

Program Options & Rates

Turtle “Shell”-a-bration

Meet Jimmy the box turtle and explore what makes these fascinating reptiles worth “shell”-abrating. Includes a creative take-home activity and guided outdoor wildlife exploration.
Cost: $5 per participant (max 20)
Time: 90 minutes
Ages: All

Wilderness Survival

Strengthen problem-solving, communication, and resilience through hands-on survival skills. Groups choose two focus areas, such as fire-building, shelter construction, foraging, whittling, or knot-tying (some options are seasonal).
Cost: $15 per participant (max 20)
Time: 90 minutes
Ages: 5 and older or 8 and older, depending on skills selected

Fishing

Learn casting techniques and basic knot-tying, then try your luck fishing in the lake using live bait.
Cost: $10 per participant (max 8 young children or 15 youth/adults)
Time: 1 hour
Ages: 4 and older

Paddling Tour

Explore Lake Johnson from the water on kayaks or stand-up paddleboards. Practice paddling basics while learning about the lake’s natural history and stories.
Cost: $30 per participant (max 15)
Time: 1 hour
Ages: 10 and older
