A Vibrant Day Filled with Connection

Community Yard Sale

• Come shop gently used treasures. This is a true community yard sale—not a vendor market.

History Harvest

• Bring old photographs, programs, documents, memorabilia, and other treasures to be scanned and documented—or talk with us about donating Black historic materials.

Oral History

• Sit down, get comfortable, and share memories of growing up, living, working, worshiping, shopping, celebrating, and building community in Raleigh.

Move & Mingle with Darkness RISING

• Carlita Ector harnesses the power of the arts to inspire, uplift, and foster healing within the Black community. Through music, dance, performance, and storytelling, they create spaces for dialogue, self-expression, and emotional connection, using the arts as a catalyst for wellness and healing.
