The Community Engagement Board will help to develop, evaluate, and implement the City of Raleigh’s community engagement efforts. 

Mission Statement

The mission of the Community Engagement Board is to nurture a City-wide approach to community engagement that promotes radical inclusion through trust, transparency, and mutual respect.

Responsibilities

Review existing community engagement policies, practices, procedures, etc. and provide recommendations for improvement.
Elevate the voices and needs of communities that have historically been marginalized within government decision-making processes.
Advise and assist the City in connection with the development and implementation of equitable community engagement strategies.
Assist with public outreach to community members and convene stakeholders to promote opportunities for engagement.

Meetings

The committee typically meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 4:30 p.m., unless otherwise specified. Please note that locations and times are subject to change. Refer to the calendar for the most up-to-date information.
