Adam Perry

Senior Fiscal Analyst

Adam Perry began his career with the City of Raleigh Fire Department in 1996.  He is currently assigned to the Command Staff where he serves as the Finance Officer for the department.  In this role, Adam leads the department’s fiscal services team responsible for the development and management of the department budget, contractual agreements, audits, procurement and accounts receivable processes, serves as the financial liaison to the Fire Chief and Command Staff members, and provides guidance for other departmental administrative functions. 

Adam has been a member of the NC Local Government Budget Association since 2016 and previously served as Executive Director of the NC Fire and Rescue Administrative Professionals, including presenting on various administrative topics.

Adam has worked in various operational capacities during his tenure with the department including Firefighter, First-Class Firefighter, Senior Firefighter, Lieutenant, and Planning Officer prior to being appointed to Finance Officer.  As a Lieutenant, Adam also served as one of the department’s initial full-time fire investigators and helped setup many of the processes used today in fire investigations.  

Adam currently holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Fire Protection from Wilson Community College and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Technology from ECPI Computer College.  Adam is a native of Zebulon and has lived in the City of Raleigh area all his life.  Adam and his wife, Leslie, have triplet children and currently reside in Clayton.
