Design

We are designing repairs for the wetland (water garden). To improve the long-term success of the Fletcher Park Wetland, the design of this project will involve:

  • Removing sediment and undesirable or invasive vegetation;
  • Restoring and planting of desired vegetation; and
  • Adjusting side slopes and other maintenance access design improvements.

About the Man-made Wetland

The wetland captures stormwater from nearby streets and park. The plants filter out pollution, which protects a stream called Pigeon House Branch. 

The man-made wetland in Fred Fletcher Park. The plants in the wetland help soak up water and reduce pollution when it rains.
