The Fred Fletcher Park Water Garden Restoration project involves repair and restoration of the human-made stormwater wetland originally constructed in 2007. Repairs are necessary to restore stormwater control measure function and improve aesthetics at the park.

Design

We are designing repairs for the wetland (water garden). To improve the long-term success of the Fletcher Park Wetland, the design of this project will involve:

  • Removing sediment and undesirable or invasive vegetation;
  • Restoring and planting of desired vegetation; and
  • Adjusting side slopes and other maintenance access design improvements.

About the Man-made Wetland

The wetland captures stormwater from nearby streets and park. The plants filter out pollution, which protects a stream called Pigeon House Branch.
