Applicants must pass the Physical Agility Test (PAT)to be considered for selection. The PAT measures the strength, endurance, and coordination needed to perform essential firefighting duties.

Applicants are encouraged to prepare in advance to ensure safety and improve performance. With proper conditioning, most healthy and physically fit individuals can complete the test successfully. During testing, all procedures are explained clearly and demonstrated as needed.
