Project Details

Together Raleigh was conceived by local leaders in the public and private sectors to make GoRaleigh’s bus shelters inviting and beautiful by adding public art. From 2018-2024 thirty-two artists created artwork for bus shelters across the city. Several are still on view.

The Raleigh Transit Authority approved the list of bus shelters to be available for the project. The bus shelters were selected based on how many riders use the shelter, the visibility of the shelter, and the location of the shelter. Raleigh Arts facilitated the selection of artists and the installation of art.
