City of Raleigh to Host Affordable Housing Summit on August 17

Mark your calendar! The City of Raleigh will host an Affordable Housing Summit on Saturday, August 17 at the Raleigh Convention Center. The Affordable Housing Summit is an opportunity for all Raleigh residents to come together to explore the important topic of affordable housing.

The City is committed to tackling the puzzle of affordable housing. At the Summit, attendees will learn more about how pieces of the solution fit together, provide input on housing needs in our community, and help us look forward to innovative ideas for the future.

While the agenda is not yet finalized, attendees can anticipate presentations and discussion around the following topics:

  • Homelessness is a housing problem
  • The state of affordable housing in Raleigh
  • Affordable rental development
  • Innovation in affordable housing

We look forward to using the Summit as an opportunity to gain public input and mutual learning around the topic of affordable housing. Ideas and feedback received at the Summit will help inform the City’s work, including the new Comprehensive Land Use Plan. Please come out and share your thoughts.
