Advocates Gather for Fair Housing Conference

On June 20, the City of Raleigh’s Fair Housing Hearing Board and Housing and Neighborhoods Department hosted the 2025 Fair Housing Conference, titled “Fair Housing is Still Law.” The event brought together residents, housing professionals, and advocates for a day focused on strengthening fair housing protections and increasing awareness of local and national challenges.

The conference featured sessions on Raleigh’s housing history and ongoing barriers to equity, along with a keynote address by Lorena Dionne McDowell, who spoke about systemic change and the need for continued progress.

This event is an important part of the City’s work to ensure that all residents have equal access to housing, free from discrimination. Thank you to all those who attended this year’s conference!
