Bankruptcy Notification
If you or your client needs to notify the City about a bankruptcy, you may contact Kieauna Brown at Kieauna.Brown@raleighnc.gov or Sue Atti at Sue.Atti@raleighnc.gov, who are paralegals with the City Attorney's Office. Please include your bankruptcy case number in your communications and the location of the bankruptcy court if not within the Eastern District of North Carolina.
Inappropriate Collections Attempts
If you’ve received a collection attempt that you believe is inappropriate, please contact Associate City Attorney Jamar Wilson (Jamar.Wilson@raleighnc.gov) immediately. Please include:
- the date you filed your bankruptcy petition;
- your bankruptcy case number (and the bankruptcy court name if not filed in the Eastern District of North Carolina);
- details about the attempted collection; and,
- any documents that will help us notify the appropriate City Department.
