There are thousands of employees that keep the City running each day. The video series, “This is What I Do,” highlights some of our unsung heroes and the work they’re proud to be doing.
The latest episode of our series spotlights Tearra Hamlett, a social work supervisor in Raleigh Police Department’s ACORNS unit (Addressing Crises through Outreach, Referrals, Networking, and Service). Tearra assesses incoming referrals and responds to inquiries about homeless encampments in Raleigh.
Tearra loves people and finds joy in helping them feel empowered! She and her team meet people where they are, providing resources and links to services offered by community partners.
We appreciate you, Tearra!
