Repairs & Improvements
City-owned Parking Decks
We repaired parking decks at Moore Square, Raleigh Municipal Building, and Raleigh Convention Center. We also installed a new fire hydrant and replaced the pipe for the fire prevention system at the Raleigh Municipal Building parking deck.
Martin Mariette Center for the Performing Arts
We upgraded the elevator at Meymandi Concert Hall and updated the fire sprinkler system at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.
GoRaleigh Park & Ride
We're adding a new park and ride at Bus Way and Poole Road (near Fire Station 12). It will have 200 spaces.
Status: Construction phase (Nov. 2021 - August 2022)
Raleigh Convention Center
We're working to reduce long-term energy costs at the convention center. We've reviewed and tested building systems during the reporting phase. The implementation phase is next, which is on hold until further notice.
Raleigh Union Station
We are adding an escalator to the platform at Raleigh Union Station. The escalator will provide more convenient access to the platform for travelers. The design for the escalator is complete and we finalized the construction contract for this project. Now, we're in the right-of-way acquisition phase. Construction will start after this phase and once all materials for the elevator are delivered.
We've added lights at five road underpasses in Raleigh. (Phases 1 and 2 complete)
