Planning Commission Meeting Series

The Planning Commission advises the City Council on future growth and development issues that affect the City. The Planning Commission reviews and makes recommendations to the Council on Comprehensive Plan items, redevelopment plans, changes in development regulations, requests to rezone property, and reviews preliminary site plans, group housing plans, and subdivisions.

The Commission typically meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. The meetings are held at the Raleigh Municipal Building (RMB), located at 222 West Hargett Street. Meeting agendas are added to the BoardDocs agenda management portal on the Thursday before the meeting date. Planning Commission public meetings are broadcast live on RTN 11 and on our live streaming webpage. The Planning Commission subcommittee meetings are not broadcast live.
