Community Engagement Board Partners with Cortico to Amplify Community Voices

This partnership will enhance public participation and transparency.

The City of Raleigh’s Community Engagement Board (CEB) has announced an exciting new partnership with Cortico, a groundbreaking conversation platform designed to foster meaningful community dialogue. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in the Board’s mission to listen, understand, and share the diverse perspectives of Raleigh residents.

The partnership with Cortico aligns with Board’s ongoing commitment to enhance public participation and transparency. The Community Conversations initiative, supported by Cortico’s technology, will allow residents to engage in structured discussions, ensuring their voices are heard and their insights are used to shape policy decisions.

Recent Milestones and Achievements

In addition to launching this key partnership, the Community Engagement Board has achieved several milestones in recent months, further strengthening its role as a bridge between the public and city leadership:

  • Completed Board Training – Community Engagement Board members have undergone comprehensive training to enhance their effectiveness in community outreach and engagement.
  • Established Digital Presence – The Board has created an official email address and launched dedicated Facebook and Instagram pages (@RaleighCEB) to improve accessibility and communication with the public.
  • Developed the Public Comment Tracker – This new tool is designed to monitor and manage public feedback, ensuring that resident concerns and suggestions are documented and addressed.
  • Produced Public Comment Video – A professionally scripted, directed, and produced video will be an accessible resource to educate residents on how to effectively participate in public comment sessions.
  • Approved Collateral for Public Distribution – A newly designed informational piece has been created and approved to help inform the public about the Board’s initiatives and resources.
  • Established Information Access and Social Media Policies – To maintain transparency and responsible engagement, the Board has formally adopted an Information Access Policy and a Social Media Code of Conduct Policy.
  • Collaborated with TODAH for PPCFS – Partnering with Transit Oriented Design and Affordable Housing (TODAH), the Board has supported the PPCSF (Public Project Community Support Fund), ensuring a robust framework for community input.

With these accomplishments, the Community Engagement Board continues to expand its efforts in fostering open dialogue and meaningful engagement with residents. The Board remains committed to enhancing civic participation and ensuring that all voices in Raleigh are heard and valued.
