Attracting Talent

The City of Raleigh is engaged in a major talent attraction initiative called Work in the Triangle. We realize that companies can relocate and expand anywhere in the world they choose. A primary driver of their location decision is the ability to hire, attract and retain talented people. So in addition to our continued pursuit of recruiting new companies to Raleigh, we're also engaged in recruiting smart people to Raleigh. 

Skills and Training

The City of Raleigh partnered with Wake County Economic Development and Capital Area Workforce Development Board to relaunch the Regional Skills Analysis. Learn more about the findings and data from our Regional Skills Analysis.

In addition to numerous colleges, universities and technical schools, we also have the Capital Area Workforce Development Board.  

The Capital Area Workforce Development Board helps employers find productive, skilled workers and offer workers training and employment opportunities that promote job satisfaction and economic stability. 

The Wake Tech WakeWorks Propels initiative assists residents with job transition and economic recovery. 

Demographics

The City Planning Department maintains a collection of demographic and economic statistics called the Data Book. 

Employment Opportunities

NCWorks is a one-stop online resource for job seekers and employers in North Carolina. Job seekers can search for jobs, create resumes, and find education and training. Employers can find candidates, post jobs, and search labor market information.
