Repairs & Improvements

City-owned Parking Decks
We're repairing parking decks at Moore Square, Raleigh Municipal Building, and Raleigh Convention Center.

  • We are installing a new fire hydrant and replacing the pipe for the fire prevention system at the Raleigh Municipal Building parking deck. Monthly and daily parking is still available. A few parking spaces may be blocked off periodically for the next few months.

Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts
We upgraded the elevator at Meymandi Concert Hall. Right now, we're updating the fire sprinkler system at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.

GoRaleigh Park & Ride
We're adding a new park and ride at Bus Way and Poole Road (near Fire Station 12). The park and ride will have 200 spaces. The project is under design. We're also finalizing construction documents that are required to bid the project. Construction is expected to start in summer 2020.

Raleigh Convention Center
We're reviewing and testing building systems to reduce long-term energy costs. (Complete spring 2021)

Raleigh Union Station
We are adding an escalator to the platform at Raleigh Union Station. The escalator will provide more convenient access to the platform for travelers. The design for the escalator is expected to be done in spring 2020.

Underpass Lighting
We're adding lights at five road underpasses in Raleigh.
