C.I.R.C.L.E.S is a storytelling platform designed to bring the community together through the power of shared narratives. This event series is held in partnership with Two Dot Studios. Built on the belief that every voice matters, C.I.R.C.L.E.S creates space for individuals to speak, listen, learn, and connect in meaningful ways.
Current research shows the meaningful impact storytelling has had on local government. Storytelling has engaged communities, influenced attitudes, built trust, built shared visions and built shared understanding between residents and local government.
The name reflects the values at the heart of this work:

Through open dialogue and personal storytelling, C.I.R.C.L.E.S encourages people to reflect on their experiences, honor their identities, and build relationships across differences. Each story shared strengthens the collective story of who we are as a community, one rooted in empathy and understanding.
Whether celebrating triumphs, confronting challenges, or exploring lived experiences, C.I.R.C.L.E.S provides a safe and supportive platform where stories become bridges and community becomes stronger through the act of being heard.
C.I.R.C.L.E.S aligns with the City of Raleigh Strategic Plan by providing a storytelling space for all to strengthen community engagement, build trust, and support resident-centered dialogue. The platform contributes to Raleigh’s Arts & Cultural Resources goals by elevating different voices and creative expression, while also fostering social cohesion and well-being across neighborhoods. By offering a meaningful, people-focused way for the community to share lived experiences, C.I.R.C.L.E.S supports the City's commitment to accountability, innovation, and a more connected and vibrant Raleigh.
