The City of Raleigh is working with eleven other Triangle jurisdictions to reduce the cost of solar power for residents and business in our region. Solarize the Triangle offers free solar assessments and reduced installation rates if you decide that solar is right for you!
Solarize The Triangle is a two-year community-based group-purchasing program for solar energy, battery storage, and other clean energy technologies that helps homeowners, businesses and nonprofits become more resilient, reduce energy expenses, and save on the cost of renewable energy systems by obtaining volume discounts on materials and installation services — the more that participate, the greater the savings! The program offers a free solar assessment for your home, business, or nonprofit facility, and connects you to a qualified, certified installer. In 2022, Solarize the Triangle broke records—181 solar installation contracts were signed representing over $300,000 in annual utility savings for Triangle residents and businesses! The program has reopened for the second year.
This program was offered last year, and more than 1500 Triangle residents or businesses signed up! That's the most of any Solarize campaign in the US!
