Accessibility
The Fall Arts Fair is open to the public, so it is subject to high volumes of people moving about at all times. TThere will be 60 different tents outside, along the edges of the soccer field, with different artists and their work for sale.
Navigating Outdoor Noises
There will be outdoor entertainment, such as live music and a children's craft area. It is also a pet-friendly outdoor event, so dogs are expected. While there is no designated quiet space, the park has benches and more secluded areas away from the festival that may be quieter.
Navigating the Artist Demonstrations Area
On the soccer field, under a large tent, you will see artists doing demonstrations of their artmaking. Some artists may be working with clay at a table or hand-sewing a piece of fabric. You can ask the artists questions, and they will be happy to tell you about their art and how they make things. Jewelry demonstrations can include hammering and may be loud.
Navigating the Event Location
Fred Fletcher Park has a paved concrete walkway that connects all entrances. Access to the soccer field is found at the Washington Street parking lot and will require visitors to navigate over materials of mulch, gravel, or grass. Some entry points can be unlevel, but the field itself is level. There will be a toilet trailer located in the Washington street parking lot, including two standard restrooms and one wheelchair-accessible restroom with ramp.
Navigating Food Options
Food Trucks with various dietary options available will be located in the Washington St. parking lot. You can preview menus for Arepa Culture and Grey Dog Ice Cream Lab. Please note: braille and large print menus will be available at the discretion of the food truck vendors.
Event Day Assistance
There will be City of Raleigh employees on-site at all times. If you have questions during your visit, please seek out the information booths located at each end of the soccer field or ask any of the Sertoma and Pullen Arts Center staff. They will be wearing black City of Raleigh t-shirts.
We look forward to having you at this year's Fall Arts Fair!
