Raleigh Arts Community Continues to Step Up to Help with Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts

Events and Supply Drives to Support Disaster Recovery in Western NC

Raleigh Arts Partner organizations have stepped up to support fundraising efforts for Hurricane Helene relief by planning performances, events, and supply drives.

Upcoming Events

Raleigh Youth Choir: Songs of Hope! 

The concert will take place at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium on November 14th at 7pm. This concert will feature nearly 600 young singers coming together from dozens of ensembles from around the Triangle area to benefit hurricane relief efforts in music classrooms in Western NC. All ticket profits will go directly to Notes of Hope, a project of the American Music Education Network.

Arts Together Donation Drive to Create Kid's Sensory Kits.

Arts Together and Dynamic Opportunities are teaming up to collect and send sensory kits to children who have lost so much in this storm. Join them in supporting families affected by Hurricane Helene in WNC! Opportunity students will be picking up and transporting items to the Newland Fire Station in Avery County. 

To donate, please drop off any  of the items listed below in either the downstairs lobby or upper side lobby of Arts Together (114 Saint Marys St, Raleigh, NC 27605) by Nov. 11, 2024

Musicians Pitch In for Hurricane Helene Relief for Western North Carolina

Past Events

Triangle Youth Music hosted a food drive and raised funds for Carolina Hurricane Relief Fund during their free performance on Sunday October 13, which featured the Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble.

Carolina Ballet partnered with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle to su were collected in the Fletcher Opera Theater lobby. Thanks to the collaboration with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, the donations were transported to the most in need areas across Western North Carolina. 

Pullen and Sertoma Arts Center organized a supply drive at the Fall Arts Fair. Hundreds of residents donated supplies for Western North Carolina Relief efforts including water, powder hydration packs, non-perishable food, diapers, baby wipes, bug spray, sunscreen, socks, baby formula, toiletries, cleaning supplies, trash bags, tarps, pet food, and plastic utensils.
