Attention Raleigh-based nonprofit arts and cultural organizations! Want to learn how to successfully include people and artists with disabilities in your programming? Raleigh Arts and United Arts Wake County are partnering once again to offer the Arts Learning Community for Universal Access. This yearlong cohort program brings together like-minded arts and cultural administrators who want to improve the inclusivity of their organizations and programming.
Now starting its 10th year, this nationally recognized program kicks off with LEAD® – The Kennedy Center’s annual Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability Conference. Members of the community then meet monthly in facilitated sessions to discuss issues, lessons learned and achievements in their accessibility work. Together they explore accessibility topics, tackle projects and fulfill self-identified goals toward improving their organizations’ engagement of people with disabilities in the arts.
Applications are now available from Raleigh Arts for the 2025–2026 learning community program, which will run from August 2025 through June 2026. This year’s deadline to apply is Monday, April 21, 2025.
