Fun Fitness in the Park

Mondays, June 10-July 1, 6:30-8:30 p.m. 
Kick off our four-week Fun Fitness in the Park program with us! You will have the opportunity to experience line dancing, Zumba, and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) in the first session. The following sessions will each be one form of fitness. Raffle prizes will be given away at the end of each session.

July 1: HIIT

Chavis & Chill

Tuesday, June 11, 6-8 p.m. 
Join us for a chill evening with food trucks and a special musical performance by Soultriii. Kick back, relax, and unwind with us.

Juneteenth: A Chavis Celebration

Wednesday, June 12, 6-9 p.m. 
This event includes activities the whole family can enjoy! The excitement will include inflatables, face painting, crafts, and exciting performances featuring acrobatics, breakdancing, and drumming. We look forward to celebrating with you! Register on RecLink.

Chavis Frolics

Thursday, June 13, 6-9 p.m. 
Dance the night away on the plaza to your favorite old-school and new-school tunes. This throwback event will feature a special musical guest and it will be an event you will not want to miss! Midday

Let us be your lunch break getaway! Listen to tunes, play yard games, and enjoy food trucks on your break.

Juneteenth Jubilee Pickleball Tournament 

Friday, June 14-Sunday, June 16, Times: TBA 
Registration Dates: May 10-31 (Pre-Registration Required) 
Fee: $40 per person 
Age Groups: 19+, 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, and 70+ 
Register online at reclink.raleighnc.gov or at any City of Raleigh facility. 
John Chavis Memorial Park presents its inaugural Juneteenth Jubilee Pickleball Tournament. This historic co-ed doubles tournament will consist of double elimination and awards up to third place for the winning teams. All proceeds will go towards the City of Raleigh's Play It Forward financial assistance fund. There will be food trucks on-site and a chance to attend various Juneteenth celebrations around the city.

African-American History: A Trip through Time

Monday, June 17, 6-8 p.m. 
Join us Monday night for conversations surrounding historic African-American individuals, events, and places such as John Chavis, Juneteenth, and Chavis Park. We will take a trip through time from the 1700s to the present day through presentations and an optional walking tour. Refreshments will be provided.

Artival: Urban Art 

Tuesday, June 18, 5:30-8:30 p.m. 
Join us at JCMP for an art exhibition displaying various forms of street art. Participate in an urban work of art on canvas, be entertained by live music, and enjoy light hors d'oeuvres. See you there!

JUNETEENTH

Wednesday, June 19, 1-4 p.m. 
Come by on Juneteenth for a day of fellowship. Enjoy John Chavis Memorial Park's beautiful grounds and amenities such as the splash pad and the playground. We will have a DJ and food trucks. All you need is a lawn chair!
