Fun Fitness in the Park
Mondays, June 10-July 1, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Kick off our four-week Fun Fitness in the Park program with us! You will have the opportunity to experience line dancing, Zumba, and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) in the first session. The following sessions will each be one form of fitness. Raffle prizes will be given away at the end of each session.

Juneteenth Jubilee Pickleball Tournament

Fee: $40 per person
Age Groups: 19+, 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, and 70+

John Chavis Memorial Park presents its inaugural Juneteenth Jubilee Pickleball Tournament. This historic co-ed doubles tournament will consist of double elimination and awards up to third place for the winning teams. All proceeds will go towards the City of Raleigh's Play It Forward financial assistance fund. There will be food trucks on-site and a chance to attend various Juneteenth celebrations around the city.
African-American History: A Trip through Time
Monday, June 17, 6-8 p.m.
Join us Monday night for conversations surrounding historic African-American individuals, events, and places such as John Chavis, Juneteenth, and Chavis Park. We will take a trip through time from the 1700s to the present day through presentations and an optional walking tour. Refreshments will be provided.
Artival: Urban Art
Tuesday, June 18, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Join us at JCMP for an art exhibition displaying various forms of street art. Participate in an urban work of art on canvas, be entertained by live music, and enjoy light hors d'oeuvres. See you there!
JUNETEENTH

Come by on Juneteenth for a day of fellowship. Enjoy John Chavis Memorial Park's beautiful grounds and amenities such as the splash pad and the playground. We will have a DJ and food trucks. All you need is a lawn chair!
