John P. Top Greene Center Showcases Local History with Museum Mornings

This February, the John P. Top Greene Community Center invites the community to Museum Mornings, a special Black History Month series celebrating the rich heritage of East Raleigh’s historic South Park neighborhood.

Held onsite every Friday morning, the program offers complimentary coffee, donuts, and engaging discussions centered around Centuries in the Making,” a featured exhibit showcasing the history of East Raleigh-South Park. Visitors can explore photographs, artifacts, and personal stories that highlight the neighborhood’s enduring contributions to Raleigh’s cultural and civic identity.

As a hub for connection and learning, the community center provides a welcoming space for neighbors to come together and reflect on the stories that have shaped the area. With history brought to life through the exhibit, Museum Mornings offers an opportunity to experience the center’s role as both a gathering place and a steward of local heritage.

Join us every Friday in February to honor Black History Month and celebrate the legacy of this vibrant community.
