Event Recap: African Americans and the Arts

The City of Raleigh’s Department of Equity and Inclusion proudly presented the Black History Month Celebration: African Americans and the Arts,  on February 23, 2024, at the City of Raleigh Museum. Attendees were immersed in an evening dedicated to honoring the cultural contributions of African Americans.

The free event highlighted the work of local artists who use music, dance, literature, theatre, and other artistic means of expression to highlight the lived experiences of African Americans.
