Black History Month Event: African Americans and the Arts

The City of Raleigh’s Department of Equity and Inclusion invites you to attend the Black History Month Event: African Americans and the Arts from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on February 23 at the City of Raleigh Museum.

This event will highlight cultural contributions of African Americans while also allowing local professionals, creatives, and community members to connect and celebrate this rich history.  Join us to learn more about the work of local artists who use music, dance, storytelling, literature, film, theatre, fashion, and other artistic means of expression to highlight the lived experiences of African Americans. 

This event is open for all community members, so come as you are! We are excited to engage with you at what will be a fantastic evening celebrating the contributions of African Americans in the Arts. You are encouraged to register in advance for this free event.
