The Sir Walter Raleigh Awards celebrate outstanding new contributions to the character, environment, and appearance of the city of Raleigh. Submit your nominations for the 2024 Sir Walter Raleigh Awards from Monday, April 8 through Sunday, May 12 at 11:59 p.m. to recognize projects and individuals that have contributed to excellent design in our city. All are invited to submit nominations through a quick and easy online submittal process. All nominations must include ten digital photos of the project.
The Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Community Appearance recognizes new contributions that enhance the character, environment, and appearance of the city of Raleigh. Since 1983, the Raleigh City Council has presented more than 200 Sir Walter Raleigh Awards. The awards have been presented to developers, designers, building owners, community groups, civic clubs, churches, and citizens.
