Meeting Details

We are hosting a public meeting to share updates on the Marsh Creek Watershed Study. In this meeting, we will share our results and recommended stormwater improvement projects that will reduce flooding, improve water quality, and protect the community. Parks staff will also provide information about the Marsh Creek Greenway project.

What's a Watershed?

A watershed is an area of land where rainwater collects and flows or drains to a larger body of water. That can be a lake, stream, river, or ocean. The Marsh Creek Watershed is located Northeast Raleigh.

The goal is to identify ways to improve the watershed by:

  • Reducing flooding impacts
  • Renewing stormwater pipes and infrastructure that is in poor condition
  • Improving water quality
  • Repairing streambanks
