Writing an effective grant application means telling your story clearly. You need to make sure you understand the application questions so you can answer them with the right information, presented well. Simple, right?
Grant writing may be simple, but it’s not always easy. To help intermediate to advanced grant writers make next-level improvements to their skills, Raleigh Arts has developed the Deep Dive Grant Writing Workshop. In this three-hour session, nonprofit staff will learn to think about grant writing from the inside out—from the funder’s perspective.
We'll focus on writing grant narratives, responding to open-ended questions that funders often ask. Using narrative questions from the Raleigh Arts Commission’s grant application, we’ll discuss effective ways to tell funders about your organization. We’ll cover how to write about your hopes and dreams, your triumphs and challenges, in a straightforward way that helps funders better understand your organization and programming. You'll come away from this workshop with new ideas and more effective ways to tell your story in a grant narrative.
Expect lots of discussion and learning from your fellow workshop participants. Join us!
