Fire Station 1 Replacement

Updating City Facilities

We are pleased to announce a significant development that will positively impact our city's firefighting capabilities and infrastructure. In line with our commitment to progress and efficiency, we have initiated plans to replace two aging facilities: Fire Station 1 located on Dawson St, and the Fire Administration Building situated on Martin St.

The new facility will consist of a multi-story complex spanning 50,000 square feet. This initiative reflects our dedication to ensuring the highest standards of emergency response and service delivery for the benefit of our community.

Key aspects of this project include:

  • Five planned bays equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources.
  • A prime location facing Salisbury St, strategically chosen to optimize accessibility and operational effectiveness.
  • Serving as a vital anchor for the vehicular gateway from MLK Jr Blvd into downtown Raleigh, underscoring our commitment to safeguarding the core of our city.
