Initial Ballot Results
Traffic calming projects are not a mandate from the City of Raleigh, but rather a neighborhood choice. Now is your time to cast your ballot and determine if your neighborhood wants to further explore traffic calming for the eligible street.
A YES vote will let us as staff know that you are interested, and it will signal to us that it is time to put pen to paper and start figuring out what a design for your street could look like.
If the ballot is successful, we will coordinate 2 design meetings with each neighborhood where we want to hear your design feedback and comments. This will be followed by a Final Ballot asking you if you want the project constructed.
A successful ballot is defined as:
- 70% approval rating from those that participate that live along the street
- 60% approval rating from those that participate that live in the 2-block radius surrounding the street
All ballots must be submitted by March 25, 2022, and the ballot results will be posted on April 8, 2022.
Eligible Streets
All valid ballots have been counted for each street. Please see below for your street’s ballot results.
Streets that voted to approved further evaluation of traffic calming for their street have now moved forward into the design phase. Staff is actively working to generate street specific designs based on each street’s unique needs. In the coming months, design meeting notifications will be sent to all properties in the 2-blocks surrounding each street for review and comment.
